HISTORY OF BENTON STATION
Benton Station: AKA Murny, South and west of Benton just across the Ocoee River. The L&N RR ran through it and they built a depot there. It was two miles from the town of Benton, so the community came to be know as BENTON STATION. It was an L&N Railroad stop until the 1960s.
