Have you seen the movie, Idiocracy??

In the movie it's 2006 and Joe Bauers (Luke Wilson), a not-very-bright "Average Joe", is selected by the Pentagon to be the guinea pig for a top-secret hibernation program. But 'ol Joe is forgotten and doesn't awaken until 500 years later in a world that is so incredibly dumbed-down that he is the most intelligent person alive.   

Well, it didn't take 500 years. It only took 6 years. Yes, six years for the United States of America to become the United States of Morons.
