Welcome to......................
MY MEMORIES
by Phil Lea
(born 1952)
I was a child of the 50s. I was a teenager in
the 60s. I got my first job in 1968. I became a businessman in the 70s.
I continued to be a businessman in the 80s and the 90s. Somewhere in there I got
married and divorced. Now I'm a child again, but now I'm a child of the 2000s.
The website basically ask you to: "Remember when."
A collage of TV memories from the 50s

Balsam Airplanes (we called them balsa wood planes) (You moved the wings to make it look & only rich kids got the ones with rubber bands)
Banks (My Chein Dime Bank
that wouldn't open until you had $10 in it)
Barber Shops
Barney (Fife) (Don Knotts)
Barrel of Monkeys
Earnest T. Bass from Andy Griffith (real name: Howard Morris)
Bat Masterson (TV Show)
Back when the west was very young,
There lived a man named Masterson.
He wore a cane and derby hat,
They called him Bat, Bat Masterson.
The trail that he traveled is still there,
No one has come yet to replace his name.
And those with too handy a trigger, forgot to figger
On his lightning fame.
A man of steel the stories say,
But women's eyes all glanced his way.
A gambler's game he always won,
They called him Bat, Bat Masterson.
Now in the legend of the west,
One name stands out of all the rest.
The man who had the fastest gun,
His name was Bat, Bat Masterson.
Batman and Robin
Bedtime Stories
Beetle Bailey
BELT! (A game we played in the 60s where one person hides a belt, yells OK, everyone looks for it, the one that finds it yells "BELT" and gets to whip anyone he can until they are safe back at "base" [usually a big tree])
Ben Casey (TV doctor show 1960-1966) (Dr Ben Casey and Dr Zorba, with the
big hair)
"man . . . woman . . . birth . . . death . . . infinity"

Bluto (Popeye's nemesis)
Bobby Pins
Humphrey Bogart / Bogie
(died from cancer of the esophagus from smoking)
Richard Boone (Paladin on Have
Gun Will Travel) (died from throat cancer from smoking)
Born Losers (Movie with Billy Jack, motorcycle
gangs and naked girls)
Branded (TV show with Chuck Connors, 1965-1966)
All but one man died, there at
Bitter Creek,
And they say he ran away
Branded! Marked with a coward’s shame.
What do you do when you’re branded,
Will you fight for your name?
He was innocent, not a charge was true,
But the world will never know
Branded! Scorned as the one who ran.
What do you do when you’re branded,
And you know you’re a man?
And wherever you go for the rest of your life
You must prove... you’re a man!

Bronco Layne
Bronco, Bronco, tearin'
across the Texas plain.
Bronco, Bronco, Bronco Layne.
Worn down around the old panhandle,
Texas is where he grew to fame.
There ain't a horse that he can't handle,
that's how he got his name.
Bronco, Bronco, tearin' across the Texas plain.
Bronco, Bronco, Bronco Layne.
Next to a four square Texas twister,
You'd call a cyclone weak and mild,
You've never seen a twister, mister,
Till someone gets him riled.
Bronco, Bronco, tearin' across the Texas plain.
Bronco, Bronco, Bronco Layne.
Show me a gal who kissed him once,
And I'll show you a gal who's kissed him twice.
Once a city gal has kissed him twice,
She's dreamin' of shoes and rice.
Bronco, Bronco, tearin' across the Texas plain.
Bronco, Bronco, Bronco Layne.

My 1995 Harley Davidson
Heritage Softail Classic
Only 7,000 miles, Rare original yellow & white paint, wide white-walls
My dad's Ford Ranger XLT pickup truck
4-door extended cab, 1-owner, 39,000 miles
Will trade for a nice, low-mileage Chevrolet Impala that's a
2006 or newer
(would prefer to trade, but will take $12,500 for the truck.)
I want to buy a VERY NICE 1959 to 1966 Chevrolet (Impala, Biscayne or Bel
Air)
with new 350 Crate Motor, new Automatic Trans, A/C (air conditioning), power
disc brakes, bench seat and column shift.
It must also have new or updated suspension and rear end. A "get in, turn key
and drive cross-country" car.
I will also consider a VERY NICE 1955 to 1957 2-door post Chevy with the same equipment.
I will also consider a VERY NICE 1964 to 1967 Chevelle / Malibu with same equipment.
No DARK Blue or Black exterior colors - No bucket seats - No floor shifters - No project cars - No barn finds - No 4 doors -
Car values are way down, so it must be at a fair price.
I prefer it to be within 200 miles of Cleveland TN, but might travel for a good deal.
Again, it must be a nice, ready to go car. I am not buying a job! I don't want an original, matching # 1955 Chevy.
I want a new car wrapped in a classic body.
